Okay guys, in this article i will show you how to add bravia engine 2 on sony xperia e1, it's little bit hard to do, so i guess this is an advance tutorial.
By default, sony xperia e1 does not have bravia engine inside it, probably because xperia e1 is an entry level budget oriented device.
Don't worry, we can add/install bravia engine on our xperia e1, but first let me explain little bit about bravia engine. What is bravia engine? what's the benefit?
Bravia engine is image processing filter technology by sony that will improve the contrast, sharpness, and colors of photos and videos.
In this tutorial i will show you how to add/install bravia engine version 2, despite there already bravia engine 3, cause i dont have bravia engine 3 yet.
So here's what you need for this tutorial :
- sony xperia e1 with root
- root explorer app
- bravia engine 2 files
- you must comfortable using root explorer
Step by step how to add/install bravia engine on sony xperia e1 :
- download the bravia engine 2 files and then extract the zip file
- you should see 3 folders; app, etc, and lib
- copy the 3 folders to external sdcard
- open root explorer, mount as read and write (r/w)
- go to where you put the 3 folders
- copy SwiqiSettingsService.apk to /system/app/, change the permission to rw-r--r--
- copy com.sonyericsson.android.SwIqiBmp.xml to /system/etc/permissions/, change the permission to rw-r--r--
- copy be_album to /system/etc/, change the permission to rw-r--r--
- copy be_movie to /system/etc/, change the permission to rw-r--r--
- copy be_movie_setting to /system/etc/, change the permission to rw-r--r--
- copy be_photo to /system/etc/, change the permission to rw-r--r--
- copy be2_album to /system/etc/, change the permission to rw-r--r--
- copy libswiqibmpcnv.so to /system/lib/, change the permission to rw-r--r--
- copy libswiqisettinghelper.so to /system/lib/, change the permission to rw-r--r--
- go to /system/ find the build.prop file
- press long on build.prop and then select "open in text editor"
- scroll down to the bottom and then add following codes :
#bravia engine
ro.service.swiqi2.supported=true
persist.service.swiqi2.enable=1
- save and exit
- reboot/restart your phone
- you should see android upgrading thing
- go to Settings > Display > you should see the mobile bravia engine 2 option
If you do exactly as i said, you should have no problem, this tutorial should works on xperia e1 dual or single, no different.
I know it's a lot of work, but once done, you will be happy with it, enjoy bravia engine 2 on your sony xperia e1.
